Lab Coats Information

Lab coats are an important part of the medical industry. There are different types of lab coats available today, where each has different specifications. Some of the types of lab coats are lab coat white, color lab coats and counter coats. The basic lab coats are made of 80% polyester and 20% cotton and can be used by both men and women. Color coats too have the same material composition while the counter coats are made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. They are similar to lab coats but are only shorter and look like blazers.

The first thing that you should know about medical lab coats is that most of the time they are a requirement that is set forth by the hospital or the practice. Most of the time, if you see a doctor they will be wearing a standard white lab coat. This includes people that work in departments such as nuclear medicine or x-ray. Also, many establishments require that all of their office personnel wear labcoats or scrubs as well.
